Studio Copenhagen Copperfield Two-seater, Fabric Grey

Studio Copenhagen Copperfield – sofa and guest bed

Studio Copenhagen is an own brand of the online retailer home24, where the Copperfield appeared as a sofa bed. The principle is simple: a sofa by day and a bed when guests visit, without the need for another piece of furniture in the room. Under the same name, there is an armchair bed, which home24 describes as a lounger with an adjustable back and a guest bed in one. Today, home24 sells this armchair under its Mørteens brand. The series is aimed at homes where one room has to fulfil several roles.

Copperfield two-seater in grey fabric with sleep function

This Copperfield is a two-seater with a grey fabric cover and a built-in sleep function. During the day, it seats two people, and when guests visit, it becomes a guest bed. This makes it well suited to a study, a guest room or a small flat with no space for a separate guest bed. The calm grey suits both light and dark interiors. It is one of a kind.

Seating comfort and space

With a seat height of 42 cm, the Copperfield is at the lower end of the usual range. The depth of 85 cm is compact: the sofa does not project far into the room and also fits into narrow rooms. It needs around 2.13 m along the wall. As a bed, a sofa bed becomes considerably deeper than when used for sitting; keep some floor space free so you can get into bed comfortably. During the day, leave 60 to 80 cm of walkway in front of it.

Functions and additions

The sleep function turns the two-seater into a guest bed for overnight visitors. The Copperfield series also includes an armchair bed. According to home24, it has a manually adjustable backrest, converts into a lounger or a guest bed and has a removable cover. home24 now lists this armchair under the Mørteens brand. Together with the sofa, this creates two places to sleep in one room.

Caring for the fabric cover

Vacuum the cover regularly with the upholstery nozzle, especially after guests have stayed overnight. Soak up liquids straight away with an absorbent cloth, dabbing rather than rubbing. Avoid abrasives and alcohol, as both damage upholstery fabrics. Air the sofa briefly after it has been slept on before using it as a sofa again.

Why buy a pre-owned Studio Copenhagen Copperfield?

The Copperfield comes from Studio Copenhagen, a home24 brand, and combines a sofa and a guest bed in one piece of furniture. Pre-owned, it is a sensible choice if guests only stay overnight occasionally and a dedicated guest bed would take up too much space. As long as nobody is staying over, the bed stays hidden in the sofa. This piece has been inspected in eight stations.
