We bring your sofa to your home – or you can collect it from us free of charge: in Hamburg at our showroom on Kieler Straße or our warehouse on Unzerstraße, depending on where your piece is, or in Cologne.

How delivery works

Appointment
After your order we get in touch and arrange the delivery date with you personally – 1 to 4 weeks after your order, often sooner.

Preparation
Measure doors, hallway, stairwell and lift. The dimensions of every sofa are listed on the product page.

Carrying in
We'll discuss in advance how we'll get the sofa into your home. Depending on the size, the floor and the stairwell, two of us will come – or we'll ask you to give us a quick hand.
Collect it yourself
Free of charge in Hamburg or Cologne, by appointment. Ideally, bring a suitable vehicle and a helping hand.
Buy now, delivery later
Need the sofa later? By arrangement, we can store it for up to 4 months and deliver it on your preferred date. For this we need a deposit of 10% of the purchase price by bank transfer.
12-month warranty
Every sofa comes with a 12-month warranty. If a defect appears during this time, get in touch – the easiest way is via WhatsApp with a few photos. We will remedy the defect or replace the item; if that doesn't work, you can ask for a price reduction or cancel the purchase.
Signs of use that are documented in the photos and the inspection report are not defects. The details are set out in our terms and conditions.
Condition grades
Every sofa receives one of four condition grades. All of them go through the Sofakontor Standard – and you can see every sign of use in the photos beforehand.
Only ever stood in a showroom, never used in a home. Virtually new.
Barely visible traces, even up close.
Light signs of use, very well kept.
Visible signs of use, technically flawless. Reflected in the price.
Payment
You pay securely at checkout – by PayPal, Klarna, credit card, Apple Pay or bank transfer. You can also pay in cash on collection or delivery.
All prices are subject to the margin scheme under Section 25a UStG. VAT is included but not shown separately.
Withdrawal & returns
If you buy online, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from receipt of the sofa. You bear the cost of the return – for furniture up to €320, depending on size, weight and location. You can also bring the sofa back to our warehouse yourself.
