Sofakontor is the shop for pre-owned designer sofas by Aaron GmbH. We buy selected sofas in very good condition, inspect them in eight stations and pass them on with a 12-month warranty – from Hamburg and Cologne to anywhere in Germany.

Buying
We buy selected designer sofas in very good condition – from non-smoking, pet-free homes and from showrooms. Fairly valued, handled without fuss.
Inspecting
Every sofa goes through our eight stations – from the purchase inspection to the final inspection with an inspection report.
Passing on
Online, in our Hamburg showroom or our Cologne warehouse – with delivery or collection and a 12-month warranty.

Eight stations. Every sofa is inspected.
Our logo has nine squares: eight for the stations and a red one in the middle. A sofa only earns that one once it has passed every station that applies to its material – then it goes on sale with an inspection report.

Purchase inspection
Good sofas start at the buying stage. We buy selectively: only from non-smoking, pet-free homes and only originals in very good condition. We check the model, origin and condition before we commit.

Incoming inspection
In our warehouse we check the frame, joints, suspension, fittings and all adjustable functions for stability, wear and function. We also record the manufacturer's labels and the dimensions.

Material analysis
We assess seating comfort, shape retention, padding, seams and upholstery and identify the material. Then we decide which cleaning and care the piece receives.

Spray extraction
We clean fabric covers and upholstery using spray extraction, adapted to the material and weave: the cleaning solution is worked deep into the fibre and immediately extracted again. Suitable stains are treated in a targeted way, as far as the material allows. For leather sofas, this step does not apply.

Leather care
We clean leather gently with specialist cleaners, replenish its oils and protect the surface with a sealant. Areas showing wear receive targeted care, as far as the leather and its condition allow. For fabric sofas, this step does not apply.

Ozone treatment
We check every piece for noticeable odours. It then goes into a closed room where ozone penetrates the entire upholstery and neutralises odours even where no cleaning can reach.

Function test
We refit removable parts and test the frame, suspension and joints under load. Every mechanism is run through all positions several times: recliner, sleeping and adjustment functions. Only what runs smoothly and cleanly moves on.

Final inspection
Finally, we check appearance, cleanliness, odour, seating comfort and function a second time. We photograph the piece from all sides, show signs of use openly and only then release it for sale.
