About the model
Minotti Jagger – a design by Rodolfo Dordoni
Rodolfo Dordoni, art director at Minotti from 1998 to 2023, designed the Jagger. Under his direction, many of the company’s seating systems were created, including the Hamilton from 2004 and the Mills chair from 2011. The Jagger was available as a sofa and as an armchair; together they form a seating group in the same design language. Minotti describes its style as understated and timelessly elegant, with great attention to detail. The family business was founded in Meda in 1948 by Alberto Minotti.
Jagger three-seater in grey fabric
This Jagger is a three-seater with a grey fabric cover. The sofa consists of two parts and seats three people. With its generous width, it is suitable as the main sofa in a spacious living room or open-plan living area. Together with the Jagger armchair, it forms a seating group from the same line. The grey stays in the background and can be combined with strong colours, wood and natural stone.
Seating comfort and space
The Jagger is a low, deep sofa. At 40 cm, the seat height is slightly below the usual 42 to 45 cm, so you sit in a rather laid-back way. The depth of 1.05 m gives you room to lean back. With a height of 65 cm, the back line stays low, which keeps the room feeling open. The sofa needs around 3.2 m along the wall. Leave around 60 to 80 cm of walking space in front of it.
Elements and additions
The Jagger range also included an armchair in the same design language, which can be added to the sofa to form a seating group. The sofa itself consists of two parts. The Jagger is no longer listed in Minotti’s current range. If you need more seats, combine it with armchairs or footstools from other lines, ideally in calm tones.
Caring for the fabric cover
Vacuum the grey fabric weekly with a soft upholstery nozzle so that no dust settles in the weave. Soak up stains immediately with an absorbent cloth and then dab, without rubbing. Test cleaning products on an inconspicuous spot first. Do not place the sofa in full sun for long periods, as the fabric may fade.
Why buy a pre-owned Minotti Jagger?
Since 1948, the Minotti name has stood for upholstered furniture from Meda in the Brianza region. As art director from 1998 to 2023, Rodolfo Dordoni shaped the collections from which the Jagger comes. The company is still family-owned today, now in its third generation. The understated shape of the sofa suits many interior styles. This piece has been inspected in eight stations.

How do you keep the Jagger’s upholstery in shape?
Plump up the cushions regularly from all sides so that the filling spreads evenly. On a sofa, switch seats now and then so that the upholstery gives way evenly. You can also turn loose cushions at the same time.
Was the Jagger available as a sofa and as an armchair?
Yes. The Jagger was available as a sofa and as an armchair. Together they form a seating group in the same design language, but the armchair also works on its own as a reading chair in the living room or bedroom.
How do you arrange the Jagger sofa and Jagger armchair together?
Place the armchair to the side of the sofa at a slight angle, so that the two seats face each other. Leave around 40 to 50 cm between the sofa, armchair and coffee table, so that you can reach things comfortably and walk through.
Is the Jagger still in Minotti’s range?
Today, the Jagger is no longer listed on Minotti’s website. If you want to put together a seating group, combine the Jagger armchair and sofa or add pieces from other lines in calm tones.
How do you remove stains from the Jagger’s fabric?
Soak up liquid immediately with an absorbent cloth. Then dab the stain from the outside in with a slightly damp cloth, without rubbing. For stubborn stains, professional upholstery cleaning helps.

Minotti was founded in 1948 by Alberto Minotti in Meda, in the Brianza area, initially as a small workshop; from the 1960s the business grew larger and more industrial. In 1991 his sons Renato and Roberto Minotti took over the family company. From 1998 until his death in 2023, the Milan architect Rodolfo Dordoni was art director and shaped the collections, for example with the Hamilton seating system of 2004 and its low base. The furniture is made with modern technology and finished by hand.
