About the model
Rolf Benz Plura 380 – sofa, high-back seat and long chair
Beck Design, the studio of Norbert Beck, designed the Plura for Rolf Benz; in the range it carries the number 380. Its principle is transformation: you adjust the back steplessly backwards and upwards, and folded up, the sofa becomes a high-backed seat. Fold down the side element and swivel the seat, and a long chair appears for stretching out. The seat has a metal inner frame with swivel function and sinuous steel springs, topped by foam layers of different firmness. The loose cushions are filled with foam rods and polyester fibres.

This Plura is a corner sofa made of two elements with room for five people, upholstered in grey fabric. Seen from the front, the corner is on the left. The silver-coloured metal frame makes the upholstery look light. The backs and side elements are adjustable, so you can sit upright, lean back or put your feet up. At 240 cm wide and 230 cm deep, this one-of-a-kind piece fits a large living room.

Wie pflegen Sie den Stoffbezug eines Plura 380?
Saugen Sie den Stoff regelmäßig mit der Polsterdüse ab, auch in der Fuge zwischen Sitz und Rücken. Frische Flecken tupfen Sie mit einem feuchten, hellen Tuch ab, ohne zu reiben. Die losen Kissen schütteln Sie gelegentlich auf, damit die Füllung gleichmäßig liegt.

Rolf Benz wurde 1964 vom Polsterer Rolf Benz in Nagold gegründet. Sein erstes Programm Addiform bestand aus Elementen, die sich frei zu einer Sitzlandschaft kombinieren ließen. Zu den bekannten Modellen zählen das Plura von Norbert Beck mit stufenlos verstellbarem Rücken und das Nova von Joachim Nees, dessen Rücken sich bis in eine Liegeposition öffnen lässt. Gefertigt wird überwiegend von Hand in zwei eigenen Werken im Nordschwarzwald; jedes Sofa durchläuft eine Endkontrolle.
