About the model
Brühl Mosspink – sitting as if on moss
Kati Meyer-Brühl designed the Mosspink at the beginning of the new millennium, inspired by nature. The freely shaped, gently rounded upholstered base is meant to feel like a soft, mossy forest floor. On top lie loose rest elements reminiscent of pebbles worn smooth by the sea; you arrange them as you like, and their covers can be chosen individually in colour and texture. The seat base has an integrated sprung core, and all covers are removable and renewable.
Mosspink two-seater in pink fabric
On this two-seater the upholstered base is covered in a soft pink fabric with a felt-like look. Four pebble-shaped rest elements in pink, black and lime green add contrast; you place them as a backrest or stand one element on its side as an armrest. The sofa has no fixed armrests, so it can be used openly and from several sides. A one-of-a-kind piece for rooms that welcome colour.

Brühl has made upholstered furniture since 1948 and relies on long-lasting materials for the Mosspink: according to the manufacturer, the rest elements can be repaired and replaced, and the covers are hard-wearing and removable. Woher stammt die Idee des Mosspink?
Kati Meyer-Brühl ließ sich von der Natur leiten: Die gerundete Polsterbasis erinnert an weichen Moosboden, die Lehnen an glatt geschliffene Kieselsteine am Meer. Der Entwurf entstand zu Beginn des neuen Jahrtausends und wurde mehrfach ausgezeichnet.

Das Familienunternehmen Brühl fertigt seit 1948 Polstermöbel in Bad Steben in Oberfranken. Viele Sofas der Marke lassen sich verstellen oder verwandeln, zahlreiche Entwürfe stammen von Roland Meyer-Brühl: Beim Roro (seit 1998) sind Arm- und Rückenlehnen stufenlos verstellbar, beim Moule (seit 2003) werden zwei Drehsitze mit wenigen Handgriffen zu Liegen oder einer Liegefläche. Die Gestelle sind aus massiver Buche geschreinert, jeder Bezug wird komplett von einer Person genäht. Creative Director ist seit 2008 Kati Meyer-Brühl.
