About the model
COR Mell Lounge – sit deep, stand light
The design studio Jehs+Laub created the Mell Lounge for COR in 2012 as the relaxed member of the Mell family: lower, with deeper seats and soft cushions. Outside it stays cubic and clearly cut; inside, where you sit and lean back, the edges are rounded. It rests on a delicate steel frame that makes the sofa appear to float. The elements – with or without backrests and armrests – can be combined into seating landscapes.
Mell Lounge corner sofa in grey-beige fabric
This Mell Lounge is a corner sofa made of two elements: on the left a sofa with an armrest, on the right – seen from the front – a lounging element with backrest and armrest. At 285 cm wide and 190 cm deep, it seats four. The cover is a finely patterned woven fabric in light grey with a warm beige undertone, and the skids have a metallic shine. Three loose back cushions rest against the backrest.
Why buy a pre-owned COR Mell Lounge?
COR was founded in 1954, is still run by the founding Lübke family and assembles all its furniture in-house. The Mell Lounge shows the brand's clear line: few parts, a delicate steel frame and a calm outline. The two elements can be carried separately and pushed back together in their new place. This keeps the corner sofa flexible when you move. This piece has been inspected in eight stations.

Wie pflegen Sie den Webstoff des Mell Lounge?
Saugen Sie den Bezug regelmäßig mit einer Polsterdüse ab. Frische Flecken tupfen Sie mit einem feuchten, hellen Tuch von außen nach innen ab. Ein Platz ohne direkte Sonne hilft, den hellen Farbton zu erhalten.

COR wurde 1954 in Rheda-Wiedenbrück gegründet und wird bis heute von der Gründerfamilie Lübke geführt; der Name ist das lateinische Wort für Herz. Alle Möbel werden dort montiert und geprüft. Das Conseta von Friedrich Wilhelm Möller stammt von 1964 und ist ein Anbausystem aus Elementen verschiedener Breite mit wählbaren Armlehnen. Das Trio von Team Form AG aus den frühen 1970er-Jahren besteht aus drei Grundelementen, das Mell entwarf das Designbüro Jehs+Laub.
