The name – the English word for a curve – describes the interplay of full and receding volumes, which a contrast seam emphasises. A tubular steel frame supports padding made of cold-moulded polyurethane foam. She wanted to reinterpret Chesterfield and capitonné sofas, inspired by their revivals in the 1960s and 1970s – more relaxed and less formal. The modular system starts with a footstool as its basic element, joined by central, corner and end elements with low or high armrests. This creates straight sofas, corner sofas, chaise longues and islands on which you can sit all the way round.
