A trained cabinetmaker and interior designer, he worked as a sales representative and knew what customers wanted from their seating. Conseta is both a sofa range and a system of elements: seat, corner, end and lounger elements as well as footstools are joined with tabs and wedges. Only four orders came in, and two of them were later cancelled. A year later, the upholstery had a softer filling and the armrests were wider, and from then on its success grew. The range was designed by Friedrich Wilhelm Möller, a trained cabinetmaker. By 1996, Conseta had been sold more than 500,000 times, and in 2024, according to COR, more than 875,000 elements were in circulation.
