The principle remained: seat, back and arm elements are connected by ropes, hooks and rings. They can be detached and rearranged at any time. B&B Italia compares each element to a large pixel. The deep quilting was retained, while the interior was re-engineered: wooden panels form the core, topped by polyurethane in several densities and firmnesses.

Camaleonda two-seater in purple fabric – floor model

This Camaleonda consists of two seat elements with a purple fabric cover, without backrests or armrests. Placed side by side, they form a bench for two people; on their own, they serve as large footstools. The elements were on display in a showroom and were never used in a home. With their deep quilting and strong colour, they make a statement, for example in front of a window, in a hallway or next to an existing sofa.

Seating comfort and space

The padding of polyurethane in several firmnesses over wooden panels creates a springy seat. With a seat height of 40 cm, you sit a little lower than usual and, without a backrest, more as if on an upholstered bench. Together, the elements take up around 1.9 m in width.
